Polypropylene (use liquid Teflon, not Teflon tape when installing fittings)
Do not use Teflon tape. Using too much Teflon tape will damage or crack the brand-new valve. Use our SCH 80 PVC hose barbs available in just about every size and configuration to connect this ball valve to our in - stock non-collapsible hose, flex tech rt or large assortment of chemical hose sold by the foot. Please do not install metallic fittings such as brass or stainless barbs into this valve as the metal may crack the polypropylene.
PVC to PVC: non-drying liquid Teflon (PWP's favorite is Rectorseal T plus 2 found at the big box hardware stores)
PVC to metal: non-drying liquid Teflon (PWP's favorite is Rectorseal T plus 2 found at the big box hardware stores)
Metal to metal: medium thread lock (part numbers: 5003 10ml, 5004 50ml or 5486 for 250ml)
