The 5518 all stainless-steel reel is by far the best hose reel we offer from titan products to our pressure washers and soft washers. This reel can be stacked with another reel of the same width on top or below using a titan products stack kit (tt7054).
You need two reducing bushings (2578) and a street 45 (3361) plus a two-wire jump for this reel. If your pressure washer has a plug on the outlet, you need a 3/8" female coupler (2401 or 4630 ss), a 3/8" female plug (3878 or 4959 ss) and a 3/8" male coupler (3004 or 4960 ss) to install the jump hose to this reel.
As with most belongings in life, the better we take care of them, the longer they last. Adding a 3-way ball valve to your Softwash set-up will allow you to easily rinse the reel and pump after every use. If you are trying to choose between the full frame titan hose reel and the u-channel series, consider the following: the lock is standard on this reel and all reels in the 4300 and full frame series. The u-channel reels (4800 series) do not offer the hose reel lock in the standard build, but a bungee cord can be wrapped around the hose to prevent unravelling down the road. The full frame can handle a bit more abuse and pulling hose from the sides without 'tweaking' the reel. The full frame reels can be stacked easily, and the u-channel cannot. The u-channel can be more easily mounted on the side railing of an open trailer without requiring too much fabrication while the full frame reels require a bigger support footprint.
Always strip off all your hose from your reel for optimal performance. Hot water should not be run through hose while wrapped on reel. High heat may damage reel. We suggest pairing this reel with one of our custom base plates to help you reach a more ergonomic position when manually operating this reel. The custom base plate (bp-18) will create a safe and secure space to 'house' your all-flow air diaphragm or Everflo or Delavan 12-volt soft washing pump. We can also fabricate a base plate to meet your specific equipment needs. Capacity: we can cut a jump hose to your exact length and crimp on the hose ends for both high pressure and low-pressure hose. A custom length of hose can be assembled in just about any hose we can get our hands on. We can offer a wide assortment of hose ends. We always recommend a two wire (r2) high pressure hose from your unloader on your pressure washer to the hose reel.
